Linda passed away Saturday, August 1, from Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome brought on by a cascade of events beginning with two broken legs. Her loving husband Bob, and her beloved daughter, Ginger, were at her bedside, as where two of her dearest friends.
Linda was born in Birmingham, AL on February 13, 1948, to Calvin and Mozelle (deceased) Mullins. She lived in Homestead, FL for many years. Linda and Bob moved to Panama City in November, 1992, as refugees from Hurricane Andrew. Linda was a member of the Emerald Coast Fellowship Church where she sang in the choir. She now sings in the Perfect Choir.
Linda, being the southern girl she is, has a very large family from both sides of her parents. She is survived by numerous cousins, second cousins, and other relatives. Those closest to her, left to both mourn her loss and especially to celebrate her life, are her father, Calvin Mullins, (wife Frances); her loving husband Bob; her beloved daughter Ginger Cooper (husband Glenn and children Makenzie, Logan and Christopher); her beloved daughter, Cindy Riemersma (children Jeremiah and Zachariah Messer). Linda was blessed with so many wonderful friends, and we thank each and all of you for your prayers and support. Dogs, Millie and Frankie, and the cat, Grover, all wonder where their Mom is.
A memorial celebration of Linda’s life will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, August 8, 2009 at the Emerald Coast Fellowship Church with Dr. Bill Montgomery officiating. A dinner will follow in the fellowship hall, and the family will receive friends at the family home at 1319 Missouri Ave., Lynn Haven, FL. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Linda’s name may be made to the Emerald Coast Fellowship, 4102 W. Highway 390, Lynn Haven, FL 32444.
Linda, may God always bless you and keep you close to His heart.
